Emerging Growth Companies present at Vermont Investors Forum
The 18th Annual Vermont Investors’ Forum was held recently at Stowe Mountain Lodge in Stowe, Vermont and featured eight emerging growth companies: Aprexis Health Solutions; Draker Laboratories; ElectroCell Technologies; Rowing Innovations; SCL Elements; Sound Innovations; Urban Moonshine; and Vermont Spirits Distilling, as well as five innovators: Brick Oven Media; Dots; LogsitAll.com; PhosphoReduc; and Renewable Energy Resources. They presented to an audience of accredited angel investors and early-stage venture funds. The winners in the play money investment simulation were Draker Laboratories (first), Sound Innovations (second) and ElectroCell Technologies (third). The opening speaker was Stan Goldstein, CEO, of Vermedx, Inc., a previous presenter at the Forum, which has raised two rounds of angel and venture financing. The keynote speakers were Dr. Richard Bruno and Dr.Gilles Durufle who gave a fascinating presentation entitled: “What makes a Healthy Technology-Based Innovation Economy.”
